About Us

George Burns ( the one with the Scottish accent) and Debi Brockway (the one with the American accent ) own Land of Holistic Pets Ltd. The business is based in the heart of Ayrshire - Ironically, close the birthplace of Robert Burns - Scotland's national poet.

We met about 7 years ago while I (George) was running my former business in Scotland – Burns Pet Nutrition (Scotland) Ltd. Debi was having problems with her cats and emailed me for advice. At the same time, I was looking at the pet food business in the USA and could see many companies advocating Natural Health but few with any meaningful philosophy, other than marketing, underpinning their approach. The resulting dialogue was mutual but was not restricted to the well being of Debi’s cats or my interest in the United States, rather a friendship of some intensity.

It would be about a year later, I decided to visit the USA and meet a few of the pet food companies and Debi volunteered to help. It was at O’Hare airport, Chicago that they met face to face for the first time. From there our interest in Natural Health for pets accelerated. We then formed the company Burns Pet Nutrition (USA) Inc, (now called Burns Pet health Inc) and subsequently the Land of Holistic Pets Ltd.

Combined, our mutual interest in the health of pets, has taken us on many travels, meeting some of the world's renowned authorities in holistic nutrition for pets. It our intention to combine the travels and the knowledge we gain to bring it to the Land of Holistic Pets so you can be assured that what we recommend will Do No Harm!
